Escape to your peaceful and private break from city life at this incredible lakefront property in the Kawarthas.This property is a South facing peninsula with incredible sunrise views from the South East, all day sun from the South, and stunning sunset views from the South West. It has 420 feet of frontage (a massive amount because the property is a unique penisula shape).Because the property is a peninsula, you'll see no neighbors as you enjoy time on the dock, on land, or at the fire pit.The main cabin is an original log cabin built in 1936, and has a screened in Muskoka room at the front with a dining room table. A queen bed is tucked off to the side of this large space, along with a wood fireplace, a comfy sectional couch (new, not pictured), a large flatscreen TV for Netflix, and table. There is high-speed internet at this cabin.The second cabin features a full kitchen with a countertop dishwasher, bathroom with shower and composting toilet, and a separate bedroom with a queen bed. There is a smaller portable clothes washing machine (small but mighty, it works great!).The bunkie features two bedrooms, each with separate entrances. One bedroom has two single beds, one bedroom has one queen bed. There is an outhouse with a composting toilet about ten feet from the bunkie.The cottage has cell phone coverage. There is parking for about 8 cars at the front. The property is about 1 acre in size and nestled into a well treed lot. unEels lake is an amazing lake that is not weedy, and is just the right size (not too large, not too small). We have paddle boards, a peddle boat, and other fun activities for you to do in the water.

  • Important notes:

  • This is an older, rustic cabin. The property is stunning, and the cabins in our opinion are amazing. But this is not a new, renovated cabin.

  • It pulls water from the lake, and uses a composting toilet (won't need to be changed by you, and easy to use - but you should watch a youtube video on composting toilets to know what to expect and be sure you're ok with this).

  • It has a countertop dishwasher that works great but is smaller than a traditional dishwasher. A family of four will need to run a load after most meals.

  • It has a small portable clothes washing machine that works great but is smaller than a traditional clothes washer. We use a drying rack and clothesline to dry items outside.

  • For the right couple / family, this is paradise in the Kawarthas. The privacy, property, lake, and sunsets are divine. But this is a rustic, older cottage, and you should be fully aware of this and excited still if this is the right place for you! We've priced the rental appropriately considering it is not a new place vs. what you'd pay for something else of similar land that is a newer place.
